　　为遏制超前教育，近日教育部正式印发了《3-6岁儿童学习与发展指南》，以提高广大幼儿园教师的专业素质和家长的科学育儿能力，防止和克服学前教育“小学化”倾向。

　　The Ministry of Education released guidelines onearly childhood education on Monday, in an effort tocurb the growing practice of young children beingeducated in a way that pushes them beyond whatchildren at their age should learn.

　　教育部于周一发布了有关儿童早期教育的指南，以遏制日益盛行的超前教育行为。

　　Early childhood education就是“儿童早期教育”，这里主要指针对preschool children(学龄前儿童)的教育。指南在health(健康)、language(语言)、social ability(社会)、science(科学)以及arts(艺术)等方面列出了detailed development criteria(详细的发展标准)。

　　很多家长都认为“不能让孩子输在起跑线上(you cannot let your child lag behind at the startingpoint)”，很多幼儿园儿童都长期奔波于piano class(钢琴班)、painting class(绘画班)、dancingclass(舞蹈班)等各类训练班中，同时还要在幼儿园提前开始学习primary school courses(小学课程)。

　　该指南的推出让家长和老师对children’s development(儿童发展)有个更科学更理性的认识。
