Cathy Zhu：3月口译笔试答案与阅卷心得(1)--汉译英

[编者按]由于参加本次口译笔试的考生达到空前的50800人，所以各位阅卷老师的工作量成倍增加。我们新东方口译教研组的Cathy, Dennis, Eric，Chole, Tom等口译考官兼阅卷人在完成阅卷工作之后，陆续为大家第一时间发布各部分的参考答案，更重要的是他们会量化分析、点评本次考生的各部分表现，提出实质性的学习建议，也为广大即将备考口译的考生们指明方向。——邱政政

　　Cathy Zhu, 上海新东方学校中高级口译/口语教学与研究专家，口译教研组成员。中/高级口译考试笔试阅卷人及口试主考官，高级同声翻译，上外英语语言文学硕士，副教授。美国西弗吉尼亚大学访问学者，曾为包括美国前总统克林顿在内的多位国家领导人作过翻译。与邱政政老师共同编著新东方《中/高级口译口试备考精要》一书。主讲口译强化班和口译口试冲刺班。

　　总的说来，这次 3 月 18 日的中高级口译笔试的汉译英题目难度不高，与考前我们新东方的预测“题目来自领导人的发言”相符。

　　首先，高口的环境保护来自国务院的新闻发布会，高口和中口的题目都是口译案例，这符合中高级口译的近几年的出题规律。其次，本人在新东方课堂上特别强调了环境保护和上海世博等口译十大考试主题，还让同学翻译了世博主题“城市，让生活更美好”这句口号。相信新东方的考生应该发挥出了水平，不会出现阅卷中的常见错误，如把世博翻译成“ World Explosion （世界爆炸）”，把“主办”翻译成“ hostage （人质）”，把“城市，让生活更美好”翻译成“ City makes life better ”。想象一下，上海要举行世界爆炸大会，而且还要人质，还怎么会“ make life better ” ?

　　这次翻译考试四字结构仍是难点，如：“造福当代、惠及子孙、预防为主、综合治理、全面推进、重点突破”，所以要想得高分也不容易。但文中没有出现引语或古语，因此没有出现理解问题，平均分数要好于前几次考试。

　　现在大家可以参考一下答案，回顾一下，估计会有个好心情。

高级口译汉译英题目及参考答案

　　中国政府高度重视保护环境，认为保护环境关系到国家现代化建设的全局和长远发展，是造福当代、惠及子孙的事业。中国政府将环境保护确立为一项基本国策，在推进经济发展的同时，采取一系列措施加强保护环境。特别是今年来，中国政府坚持预防为主、综合治理、全面推进、重点突破，这里解决危害人民群众健康的突出环境问题：坚持创新体制机制，依靠科学进步，强化环境法制，发挥社会各发给难免的积极性。经过努力，环境污染和生态破坏加剧的趋势减缓，部分流域污染治理初见成效，部分城市和地区无环境质量有所改善，全社会保护环境意识进一步增强。

　　The Chinese government attaches great importance to environmental protection. It believes that environmental protection has a bearing on the overall situation of China’s modernization drive and its long-term development and that it is an undertaking which will not only benefit the Chinese people of today but also bring benefit to their children and grand children. The Chinese government has established environmental protection as a basic national policy. While promoting economic growth, it has adopted a series of measures first, controlling environmental protection and making breakthroughs at key points, has made great efforts to solve those outstanding environmental problems that threaten people’s health. It has persisted in institutional innovation, relied on technological advances, strengthened the rule of law in environmental protection and brought into full play the initiative of various sectors of the society. Thanks to these efforts, the trend toward aggravated environmental pollution and ecological destruction has slowed down, pollution control in some rive basins has achieved some initial success, the environmental quality of some cities and regions has improved to some extent, and the people’s awareness of the importance of environmental protections ahs increased further.

中级口译汉译英题目及参考答案

　　中国赢得 2010 年世界博览会的举办权，靠的是国际社会对中国改革开放的支持和信心。这次博览会将是自 1851 年在英国伦敦第一次举办以来，首次在发展中国家举办的世界博览会，它表达了全世界人民对中国未来发展的期望。

　　2010 年上海世博会的主题是“城市，让生活更美好。”未来的城市生活是全球关注的话题，与每一个国家及其人民息息相关。第一次以“城市”作为主题的 2010 世界博览会将吸引全球约 200 个国家和国际组织参与盛会，国内外参访人数预计达 7000 万。

　　China owes its successful bid for the World Exposition in 2010 to the international community’s support for and confidence in its reform and opening-up. The World Exposition will be the first one in a developing country since it was first held in 1851 in London, UK, which gives expression to the expectations the world’s people place on China’s future development.

　　The theme of World Expo 2010 shanghai is “BetterCity, Better Life”. The prospect of future urban life, a subject of global interest, concerns every nation and its people. Being the first world Exposition on the theme of city, Expo 2010will attract about 200 nations and international organizations to participate in it, with an estimate of 70 million visitors from home and abroad.
