　　New IMF Deputy Managing Director Christine Lagarde proposed to appoint Zhu Min to a newly created deputy managing director post.
　　国际货币基金组织（IMF）总裁克里斯蒂娜·拉加德宣布提议任命朱民担任该组织副总裁.

　　Lagarde has proposed that Zhu assume his duties in the newly created Deputy Managing Director position on July 26, 2011, working with the other three Deputy Managing Directors in support of the Managing Director.
　　拉加德表示，如果这项提议任命获批准，朱民将从2011年7月26日起担任新设的副总裁一职，与其他三位副总裁一起，支持总裁的工作。

　　"Min Zhu brings a wealth of experience in government, international policy making, and financial markets, as well as strong managerial and communication skills and an institutional understanding of the Fund. I look forward to his counsel," Ms Lagarde said.
　　拉加德说：“朱民拥有政府、国际政策制定和金融市场的丰富经验，高超的管理和沟通技能，以及对基金组织的机制理解，我期待着他的支持。”

　　The appointment shows emerging nations taking a bigger role in a changing "global economic order," China's central bank said in a statement.

　　China, which has agreed to buy as much as $50 billion in IMF bonds, is among emerging nations that have urged the fund to speed management and policy changes that give developing countries a bigger voice.

　　Zhu Min was born in Shanghai, China in 1952. He graduated from Fudan University with a bachelor's degree in Economics in 1982, and gained a master's degree in MPA from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University and a Ph.D in economics and an M.A. in economics from Johns Hopkins University.
