　　“Iron Man 3” has now taken in more than $680 million worldwide. After hitting the theaters in North America on May 3, its first weekend’s box office takings in this area reached $175.3 million, which was only behind the opening weekend gross of “Avengers”($207.4 million).

　　The film’s appeal in China may have something to do with additional scenes added into the Chinese version of the film, which is four minutes longer than the original one. The extra footage features two new characters, played by Wang Xueqi and Fan Bingbing.
