　　Weaved out of living tree roots, the bridge(in the picture below) set just a few meters above a fast-flowing river looks like it could be from a scene of a film.

　　下面这张图片中的桥由鲜活的树根交织而成。它凌驾于一条水流湍急的河流之上，距离河面仅有数米，看起来像是电影中的场景。

　　But this unique tree root bridge called “Jembatan Akar” is actually a vital link to connect the residents of two tiny villages in Indonesia.

　　然而，这座异乎寻常的树根桥实际上却是方便印尼两个小村庄的村民们相互联系的重要通道。它的名字叫做“Jembatan Akar”。

　　The 30-meter bridge was created by weaving a combination of roots into two trees placed on either side of the river. A Muslim first started the construction by stringing together roots along a stem bridge made of bamboo. It began to be formed in 1890 and could be used in 1916. The roots gradually grew strong enough over the course of 26 years.

　　河流的两边分别植有一棵树，它们的树根交织在一起，继而形成了这座长达30米的桥。最初建造此桥的是一位穆斯林，他用竹子搭起桥的主干，然后沿着主干将树根系在上面。桥在1890年已见雏形，但到1916年才可供人使用。在这26年里，树根慢慢生长，变得非常结实。

　　The incredible engineering was captured by amateur photographer Robertus Pudyanto. He said that the creation is remarkable but people have to be careful when walking on it in the rain as it becomes very slippery.

　　This bridge has become a famous tourist attraction and been considered sacred. According to local belief, when residents bathe in the river around the root bridge their hopes and wishes to find love and better fortune will be granted by God.

　　这座桥已成为有名的景点，并被人们视为圣地。当地有一种说法，村民们在树根桥周围的河里沐浴之后，他们企盼收获爱情和更多财富的希冀与愿望就会得到真主的应允。
