　　新加坡是一个华人占人口绝大多数的国家，对于一年一度的中秋佳节向来十分重视。对新加坡的华人来说，中秋佳节是联络感情，表示谢意的天赐良机。亲朋好友、商业伙伴之间相互馈赠月饼，借此表示问候与祝愿。

　　Singapore is a coutry with a large population dominated mostly by Chinese people. Thus, Singaporeans quite value the Mid-Autumn Festival. To Singaporeans, Mid-Autumn Festival is a good time to make friendly contacts, express thanks, and give greetings and best wishes to relatives, friends, and business partners by the way of sending moon cakes.

　　每年中秋，各个住宅小区都会举行由一些商家组织的中秋晚会，在那里，可以免费品尝各种式样的月饼和参加有趣的游园活动。另外，在一些华人聚居地还会组织舞龙舞狮表演及放河灯、踩高跷、彩灯展示等活动。

　　Annually, there are some celebratings in every residential districts sponsored and organized by some businessmen. If you attend such celebrations, you would enjoy yourself by tasting various kinds of mooncakes for free and playing some interesting games. In addition, some places similar to Chinatown would have themed performance featuring dragon and lion dances, walking on stilts, lantern show and other traditional Chinese activities.
