　　A U.S. man was attacked by a knife-wielding assailant in downtown Beijing Wednesday afternoon, according to local police.
　　据当地警方称周三下午在北京市中心一名美国人遭到一名持刀者袭击。

　　The man was stabbed in the buttocks by a 61-year-old Chinese man in Qianmen, located just south of Tian"anmen Square, at about 3:40 p.m., the Beijing municipal public security bureau said in a statement.
　　北京市公安局在一份声明中说，大约在下午3:40,位于天安门广场的南侧的前门,一名61岁中国籍男子刺中受害者臀部。

　　The injured man has been sent to a hospital for treatment.
　　受伤男子已经被送往医院进行治疗。

　　Suspect Wang Taicun, a native of east China's Shandong province, was arrested in the area an hour later. He confessed to police that he had come to Beijing to gain the attention of local authorities concerning personal matters.
　　嫌疑人从小生长在山东，在该地区被捕一小时后向警方供认此次来京是为了引起当地政府对个人问题的关注。

　　The attack is under further police investigation.
　　案件在进一步调查中。
