　　北京时间2012年3月8日凌晨，苹果在美国旧金山芳草地艺术中心发布第三代iPad，据苹果中国官网信息，苹果第三代iPad定名为“全新iPad”。全新 iPad配500万像素后置摄像头，采用A5X处理器，四核图形芯片。首批全新 ipad于2012年3月16日上市销售，上市地区包括中国香港。

　　The display is what iPad's all about, so when you enhance the display you will enhance everything and the retinal display on the third generation iPad is just spectacular, it's got resolution of 2048 X 1536 that's 3.1 million pixels,4 times more than the previous iPad and over million more than what's called high definition on other devices and with packed all of these pixels into a display that's just 9.7 inches. But engineering it wasn't as simple as just jamming in more pixels, a pixel was made up of Red Green and Blue sub-pixels, with the signal telling each one when and how much to light up that's how colours are created, but when you squeeze 4 times pixel into the same space, signals can get crossed, colours become distorted and images get fuzzy, to solve this we had elevated the pixels onto a different plan and separate them from the signals. It's a major breakthrough and it's the key to making the pixel so small and so close together that human eye can not even distinguish them, so type looks razor sharp and you will see details and photos in ever were there, a wider colour camera brings our even more detail and gives you colours that are incredibly rich, deep and active, this is the just most advanced display you've ever held in your hand, it's the most advanced display you've ever seen.

　　The iPad is known for its fluid graphics performance, that because the retinal display has 4 times the pixels to drive, you need a lot more power, so when we designed the new A5X chip, we gave quad core graphic, it makes everything you do feel really fast and smooth, and it's so efficient, the new iPad still gets the same great 10-hour battery life.To go with the beautiful display, we added the new iSight Camera, it takes 5 Mega Pixel photos using the same advanced optics we developed for the iPhone4S and it shoots gorgeous 1080P HD video at up to 30 frames per second, but one of another biggest breakthroughs is its next generation wireless technology, it works with more bands than any mobile devices ever, so it connects to more of world's fastest data networks all the way up to the 4G LTE.
