中国教师节的来历(视频)

　　Friday marks Teachers' Day in China. As a reminderthat teachers should be honored for bringing knowledge and moralsto students, it inheritsthe thousand-year tradition of respecting teachers in China.

　　The proposal of Teachers' Day was passed in 1985 at the 9th meeting of the 6th standing committeeof the National People's Congress.

　　On September 10th, 1985, a grand gathering to celebrate the festival dedicated to teachers was held at Beijing Normal University.

　　Since then, this once-a-year occasion has become a special time for the appreciationof teachers. Teachers enjoyed high social status in ancient China. Confucius, the greatest educator in China, is still honored by people from China and abroad.

　　早在1932年，民国政府曾规定6月6日为教师节，解放后废除了6月6日的教师节，改用“五一国际劳动节”为教师节。1985年1月21日，第六届全国人大常委会第九次会议作出决议，将每年的9月10日定为我国的教师节。
　　我国第一套“教师节”邮票，即发行于1947年8月27日，这套邮票共4枚，图案内容均与孔子有关。
