  “春运”一词,承载了多少离家游子的血泪辛酸,科技发达了,以前流行网上订票,今年流行网上抢票。抢票就意味着几家欢喜,几家愁,买不到票的人怎么办呢?今年骑摩托车回家的队伍壮大,寒风凌厉的冬天,他们成了一道独特的风景线。总结去年春运经验,今年各收费站,各交通中心都为摩托车春运大军建了爱心驿站,给寒风中奔波的归家之人带去一丝温暖。

With the approach of Spring Festival, China has seen a proliferation in the various forms of transport on its roads, as one sixth of the country’s population head for home. During the world’s biggest travel rush, one particular group of travelers are making their way home by road in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

Perhaps the cheapest method of travelling home, the motorcycle is the transport of choice for these migrant workers. The national road in Wuzhou city is only the first leg of their one-day-journey, for some it may even take two days. Yet the cold weather and challenging roads haven’t deterred their zest for the journey back to a long awaited family re-union.

Yang Laoming, said, "I will arrive home by tomorrow afternoon. It’s my daughter’s first trip home. Her grandmother will be happy to see her. "

And for some it’s a treasured opportunity to be with their loved ones.

Huang Bin, Migrant Worker, said, "I bought a computer and some clothes for my children. I see them once a year. This is the only time. And I want to get back as early as possible to visit my mother."

Spirits are high, yet the journey is tough.

Wei Shaomei, Migrant Worker, said, "We set out at 3 o’clock in the morning. I can’t feel my legs after sitting for so many hours. I could hardly walk when we stopped for a break."

The most important thing is that they get back to their families safely...

Zeng Xiaojin, Migrant Worker, said, "We have to be very careful on the roads because there are so many other vehicles. Safety comes first."

To make the journey smooth and safe for these travelers, the Wuzhou authorities have organized groups of volunteers to set up more than 160 rest stops next to gas stations all the way along this route. Travelers can make phone calls, get access to hot water and warm food, and get their motorcycles checked and serviced, all for free.

Tang Jianfeng, Wuzhou Traffic Brigade, said, "People get tired and stiff after being on the motorbikes for so long. This could easily lead to traffic accidents. These stops are being provided to make sure motorcyclists and drivers can take a break along the way. It helps to minimize the possibility of accidents"

According to the local transport department, more than 600,000 motorcycles will pass through Wuzhou during the Spring Festival travel peak. That means this stretch of road will turn into a motorcycling spectacle over the coming week.
