  ⑴ depend on 取决于;依赖于

  后面通常接sb./sth., 意思是依赖于某人/某物,或取决于某人/某物。例如:

  My success depends on my friend’s support.

  Whether we go to school or not depends on the weather.

  ⑵ consist of 由。。。构成,由。。。组成

  后面可以接sth.,意思是由某事物组成或构成。但一般不用于进行时态。例如:

  This club consists of 50 members.

  The book consists of five chapters.

  ⑶ get round to 抽出时间做某事

  后面接sth. Or doing sth. ,同义词组为 get around to sth./ doing sth. 。例如:

  Can you get round to reading this novel? 外语学习网

  I hope I will get round to go shopping with you next week.

  ⑷ proud of 自豪的,荣耀的

  后面可接人或者物,意思是‘为。。。感到自豪’。例如:

  She is proud of her new house.

  Are they proud of their success?

  ⑸ on the other hand 另一方面通常与 on the one hand 连用,表示事物的两个方面或两种情况。例如:

  This book, on the other hand, provides very good ideas.

  On the one hand, he feel lonely, on the other hand, he makes many friends.

  常考短语

  succeed in …成功地做成。。。;

  后接名词或动名词,例:

  I succeed in finishing this task.我成功地完成了这个艰难的任务。

  to one’s surprise…令人吃惊的是 ;

  可换成其他形式的所以格,通常在句子中做插入语。例:

  To my surprise, he went to Japan without telling me.令我吃惊的是,他没告诉我就去日本了。

  take care of … 照顾,照料;

  同care of ,take crae of 后面人或物,但 care of 后面只接人

  turn out …结果是,原来是。。。;证明是。。。

  后接形容词或名词做表语,也可接不定式或that从句。例:

  It turned out nice and sunny again.天气又变得晴朗了。

  The party turned out a success. 舞会结果办得到很成功。

  To our surprises, the stranger turned out to be an old friend of my mother.使我们 惊奇的是, 这个陌生人原来是我母亲的一个朋友。

  It turned out that his statement was false.他说的一番话后来被证明是假的
