　　用作动词 (v.)

　　We grant the truth of what you said.

　　我们同意你说的是事实。

　　I grant that your explanation is reasonable.

　　我承认你的解释是合理的。

　　I take it for granted you have read this book.

　　我认为你一定读过这本书。

　　take for granted

　　认为…理所当然,想当然 accept a fact or situation without questioning its rightness

　　take sth for granted

　　Don't take his help for granted.不要认为他的帮助是应该的。

　　We shouldn't take anything for granted.我们不要认为什么都是理所当然的。

　　Galileo observed things carefully and never took anything for granted.伽利略观察事物非常认真,从不把任何事物视为当然。
