我感到漫长的夏季
在暴戾的享乐中，
不停地推卸掉去年的责任。
一样的酷热在它的
粗俗的厌烦中长出了
不同以往的大片的浓荫。
我有些恍惚，仿佛玫瑰
顷刻间遗忘了可敬的凋谢。
死亡未曾造就这辽阔的国土，
并使它知晓永生的可畏。
一个迟睡者可能已错过
黎明的清风和鸟啼，
他的梦想却不同于梦境：
无穷的变化就是不变。
夏日的晴空不是被恐惧
而是被热爱混淆着，
星光下阴郁的灯光也一样
无法为黑夜写下新的一页，
却像灰尘覆盖图书馆一角，
照亮了这个星球上公正的错误。

Ping
The
cruel delight of a long summer
Sweeps
away the previous year’s obligations.
The
same sweltering heat, in its vulgarity,
Composes
a patch of shade that differs from the past.
I’m
in a trance, like the rose momentarily
Forgetting
about withering respectably in old age.
Death
did not create this vast land,
Or
allow it to know the horror of eternity.
The
late-sleeper might lose the clear morning wind
And
birds singing at dawn, but his day dreams
Differ
greatly from evenings’ dream: Infinite change is no change.
The
cloudless summer sky is not confused by fear but love.
Just
like the gray lamp beneath the stars, which can’t give
Enough
light to write a new page for the night,
As
if the corner of a library covered in dust
Shines
on justifiable mistakes made around the globe.
