Herever-rising desire makes it hard to remain calm.
Goldenwillow branches trail over a winding railing.
Asilver zither, string broken, lies by the window.
Onlychattering swallows are heard in the courtyard.
Thefalling flowers lightly drift across the garden.
Shecan’t stop her thoughts of him, not for one moment.
Howcan she bear that he fills her days with sorrow?
Butwho can see her lonely dreams through the night,
Orher heart that so utterly breaks when she awakes!
