　　间接宾语

　　To review, nouns name people, places, things, and ideas.

　　名词可以指代人、地点、事物和观点。

　　Nouns can function as indirect objects. An indirect object is the recipient of the direct object. Not all sentences have indirect objects.

　　名词可以作间接宾语。间接宾语时直接宾语的接受者。不是所有的句子都有间接宾语。

　　If the sentence has an indirect object, it will always come between the verb and the direct object. If there is information after the direct object about who received it, that is most likely a prepositional phrase (Jeff three the ball to Mark.). A prepositional phrase cannot be an indirect object.

　　句子的间接宾语通常在动词和直接宾语之间。如果直接宾语之后带有关于动作接受者的信息，这极有可能是介词短语(Jeff three the ball to Mark.)。介词短语不能作间接宾语。

　　To find an indirect object:

　　找出间接宾语：

　　1) Find the verb. Is it an action verb?

　　1)找出动词，这个动词是行为动词吗?

　　2) If it is an action verb, put the verb in the blank and ask "____ who or what?" Now, you have found the direct object.

　　2)如果是行为动词，把动词放进空白处，并思考"____ who or what?"就可以找出直接宾语。

　　3) Now, ask "to whom or for whom"? If the sentence tells you the answer to this question, you have found an indirect object.

　　3)然后思考"to whom or for whom"?如果这句话给出了答案，就可以找出间接宾语。

　　Example: Jeff threw Mark the ball.

　　例句：Jeff把球扔给了Mark。

　　Jeff is the subject. What did Jeff throw? The ball is the direct object. Who received the ball? Mark is the indirect object.

　　Jeff时主语。Jeff扔了什么?球是直接宾语。谁接到了球?Mark是间接宾语。

　　Below are some additional examples of sentences with indirect objects.

　　下面是几个间接宾语的例句。

　　1) Dad made Will a sandwich. (For whom was the sandwich made?) Will

　　1)父亲给Will做了一个三明治。(三明治是给谁做的?)Will

　　2) Mrs. Peterson assigned the class 10 math problems. (To whom were the math problems assigned?) the class

　　2)Peterson女士给班级布置了10道数学题目。(数学题目识布置给谁的?)全班

　　3) Phillip gave the dog a bone. (To whom was a bone given?) the dog

　　3)Phillip给了狗狗一个骨头。(骨头给了谁?)狗狗

　　4) Mom read Katie a book. (To whom was the book read?) Katie

　　4)妈妈给Katie读了一本书。(给谁读书?)Katie

　　5) Ian bought Sarah a flower. (For whom was the flower bought?) Sarah

　　5)Ian给Sarah买了一朵花。(花是给谁买的?)Sarah

　　6) Nana gave Tim a bath. (To whom was a bath given?) Tim

　　6)Nana给Tim洗了个澡。(给谁洗澡?)Tim

　　7) Mrs. Thorn made Beverly a cake. (For whom was a cake made?) Beverly

　　7)Thorn夫人给Beverly做了个蛋糕。(给谁做蛋糕?)Beverly

　　8) Eli poured Mary some water. (For whom was the water poured?) Mary

　　8)Eli向Mary泼了点水。(向谁泼了水?)Mary
