　　男女老少都要参拜月亮

　　Everyone would pay respect to the moon.

　　八月十五，泰国男女老少都要参拜月亮。人们在大方桌前端坐祈祷，拜观音菩萨和八仙。桌上还摆满了“寿桃”、“月饼”之类美食。据泰国传说，中秋祈月，八仙会带着寿桃到月宫给观音祝寿，神仙们就会“降福”。

　　On August 15th, each and everyone in Thailand need to pay respects to the moon. People sit to pay

　　their respects to Guanyin bodhisattva and the eight immortals with a table of delicacies as "mooncakes" and "peach-shaped cakes". According to Thai legend, on the night of Mid-Autumn Festival, the Eight Immortals would go to the Moon Palace and send their birthday greetings to Guanyin Bodhisattva with "peach-shaped cakes". Therefore, gods would bless them.

　　泰国人在中秋节必吃的水果是柚子，一来中秋节前后正好是柚子最好吃的季节，错过可惜;二来柚子又大又圆、象征“团圆”。

　　Grapefruit is the special fruit for Mid-Autumn Festival in Thailand. firstly, it is time to enjoy the grapefuits at its peak during the festival, for the fruit's intense seasonality. Secondly, the round grapefruit may symbolize 'reunion'.

　　另外，月饼也是节日食品，其中，榴莲馅的月饼，在中国是很少见的。泰国的月饼制成礼盒的较贵，4块一盒的通常要人民币40元以上。不过，泰国很少有卖6块一盒的，因为泰国人认为“6”不吉利。

　　Apart from that, Thai people would have mooncakes for the festival, espeically the mooncakes with a sweet stuffing made of jackfruits, which is a rarity in China. However, the mooncake gift boxes are rather expensive. Usually a box with four mooncakes would cost more than 40 RMB. Besides that, Thai people don't think 6 is a lunky number, so they would not put six mooncakes within one gife box.
