The Orionids meteor shower starts on the 2nd of October and peaks during the night of the 22nd of October between midnight and dawn.

猎户座流星雨从 10 月 2 日开始出现，达到极大的时间段是 10 月 22 日晚上的午夜和凌晨之间。

The fragments are actually pieces of Halley's Comet, which only swings by the Earth once every 75 years.

As the comet follows its path around the Sun, it leaves a trail of tiny debris.

This debris enters our atmosphere every year at rapid speeds and vaporises from friction with the surrounding air, causing streaks of light, which we call meteors.

To see them, look up towards the constellation Orion in a space that's away from as much light pollution as possible.
