　　M: Have you traveled much in Britain?

　　W: Not much, but I traveled quite a lot in London every day.

　　M: Do you think London transport is efficient?

　　W: I think London underground is marvelous, I nearly always traveled by tube because it’s faster and comfortable. But I also like your double-decker London buses, particularly for short journeys or for sightseeing on sunny weekends.

　　M: But don’t you think our buses are rather slow?

　　W: Yes, sometimes I do, particularly in the rush hour. The roads get very congested and there are traffic jams everywhere.

　　M: When you in a hurry, the best way to travel in London is by tube, the underground train system. Taxis also get held up in the traffic jams and besides the fares are quite high.

　　W: Are traveling facility is good in the rest of Britain.

　　M: Well, we got railway that connected that all our big towns. There are over 13,000 miles of truck in Britain. Rail transport provides a very important service to the public to industry and commerce.

　　W: What about road transport? Are your roads good?

　　M: Yes, they are on the haul. We got hundreds and thousands of miles road and modern motorways are appearing everywhere.

　　W: Is there a good internal air service in Britain?

　　M: Oh, yes. Our international air services are also very good. Heathrow airport is the one of the busiest airport in the world.

　　W: What about travel by sea?

　　M: Geographically, Britain is an island country. So, as an island people and a trading nation, Britain seafaring tradition has always been good. We used to have the biggest merchant navy in the world carrying the third of the world passengers, you know?

　　W: But I suppose today sea travel has diminished its importance, hasn’t it?

　　M: It has, but some people still prefer traveling by sea to any other form of transport.
