Whatgolden plenty have these mighty eunuchs,
Whosemansions reach the clouds!
Seethem on their way to a cock-fight—
Whatmagnificent headgear, what canopies!
Thebreath of their nostrils makes a double rainbow,
Folkby the roadside shake with fear.
Sincethe time of the wise old man who washed his ears,
Thereis none to distinguish between Yao and Zhi.

Passers-byare frightened to death.
Thereis no connoisseur in this age.
