Madeof a single portion of lovely K’un-ming stone,
Everthrough endless ages as Weaver Maiden known,
Dazzling,glinting, flashing, starlike it seems to sway,
Floatingas if in beauty o’er limpid waves away.
Gracefulits robe the mosses sprinkle with spots of green.
Liketo the sound of its shuttle murmurs the lake between.
Cloudson the shore entwining moisten its wreathing hair.
Moonbeamsplay on the beaches curved like its eye-brows fair.
Sweetlyits face is smiling on beautiful lotus flowers.
Heedlessit stands. The seagulls fear not its silent powers.
Clearits outline as if shown in a mirror bright.
