　　disassociation/'disə,səusi'eiʃən; -ʃi'ei/ = dissociation

　　V-T If you disassociate one group or thing from another, you separate them. (使)分离

　　dis-：分开，分离：dispart（使）分离；dispense分配；distract分心；discriminate歧视；dismiss解散；开除；disburse支付；discard丢弃

　　America's president starts his first Asian tour as nuclear tensions mount on the Korean peninsula.

　　peninsula [pɪ'nɪnsjʊlə]：N-COUNT A peninsula is a long narrow piece of land that sticks out from a larger piece of land and is almost completely surrounded by water. 半岛

　　来自拉丁语，由 pen + insula 构成。其中，前缀 pen （ pene ）表示 almost （几乎），如 peneplain （准平原）、 penultimate （倒数第二）； insula 表示“隔离”，如 insulate （隔离、绝缘）。所以 peninsula 的字面意思就是“几乎与大陆隔离”，中文译为“半岛”。

　　mounting：gradually increasing - often used about things that cause problems or trouble越来越多的〔常指造成问题或麻烦的事物〕

　　mounting debts / criticism / tensions / peer pressure

　　mercurial adj. 水银的，活泼善变的，雄辩机智的

　　merchant商人；merchandise商品、货物；commerce商业；commercial商业的；market市场

　　etiquette：the formal rules for polite behaviour in society or in a particular group礼仪，礼节

　　abound：to exist in very large numbers大量存在

　　band带 - bind绑 - bond纽带 - combine联合 - bound束缚 - boundary边界 - abound - abundant
