Terrifying mosquito discovered in China has an enormous wing span of 11.15cm.

Scientists from the Insect Museum of West China have discovered a giant mosquito with a wing span of 11.15cm in China’s Sichuan province.
来自成都华希昆虫博物馆的科学家们在四川省发现了一只巨型蚊子，翼展11.15厘米。
Speaking to the Xinhua news agency, Zhao Li, curator of the museum, said: "These mosquitoes look horrendous, but do not feed on blood."
博物馆馆长赵力在接受新华社采访时表示：“这些蚊子看起来很可怕，但它们不靠吸血为生。”
"The adults have a life span of only a few days and mainly feed on nectar."
“成虫的寿命只有几天，主要以花蜜为食。”
"There are tens of thousands of types of mosquitoes in the world. Barely 100 species feed on blood and may be a problem for humans."
“世界上有成千上万种蚊子。只有100种以吸血为生，（这些种类）可能是人类的麻烦。”
The species is mainly found in the Chengdu plain, and in mountainous areas below 2,200 metres.
该物种主要分布在成都平原，以及2200米以下的山区。
Mr Li added: "They are weak fliers because of their big bodies."
李先生补充道：“因为体型大，它们是非常脆弱的飞虫。”
"When they fly, it is more like hopping."
“当它们飞行时，更像是在跳跃。”
"More often than not, they are found in areas with dense vegetation."
“通常情况下，它们生活在植被密集的地区。”
