  Model Test 1

Name checks will be carried out when UK bank customers send money to other people from next year in a bid to halt a rising tide of bank transfer fraud.

At the moment, anyone wanting to transfer money is asked for the recipient's account name, account number and sort code. However, the bank does not currently check if the account name is correct.

In recent years, fraudsters "have become increasingly sophisticated in using this to trick people into sending money to the wrong account," said the UK's payments operator, Pay. UK.

It added that new measures should help prevent many fraudulent payments from being made by "introducing another hurdle" for criminals and issuing effective warnings about the risks of sending money to an account where the name does not match.

From next year, the so-called "confirmation of payee" system will mean customers can check they are paying the right person.

When a customer sets up a new payment or amends an existing one, there will be three possible outcomes. If they used the correct account name, they will receive confirmation that the details match, and can proceed with the payment.

If they used a similar name to the account holder, they will be provided with the actual name to check. They can then update the details and try again, or contact the intended recipient to check the details. But if the customer enters the wrong name for the account holder, they will be told that the details do not match and advised to contact the person or organization they are trying to pay.

Gareth Shaw from the consumer group Which? said: "It's right that banks and building societies have finally been forced to introduce this much-needed check at the point of transfer. However, customers will wonder why banks have dragged their heels and not implemented this system years ago."

  Mark Zuckerberg Biography

Born on May 14, 1984, in White Plains, New York, Mark Zuckerberg developed an interest in computers at an early age; when he was about 12, he created a messaging program he named "Zucknet" for his father's dental office.

In 2002, Zuckerberg enrolled at Harvard University and co-founded the social-networking website Facebook out of his college dorm room. The site allowed users to create their own profiles, upload photos, and communicate with other users.

He left Harvard after his sophomore year to concentrate on the site, the user base of which has grown to more than 2 billion people, making Zuckerberg a billionaire. The birth of Facebook was portrayed in the 2010 film The Social Network. Time magazine named him Person of the Year in 2010, and Vanity Fair placed him at the top of their New Establishment list. Forbes also ranked Zuckerberg at No. 35 on its "400" list, estimating his net worth to be $6.9 billion.

Since amassing his sizeable fortune, Zuckerberg has used his millions to fund a variety of philanthropic causes. The most notable examples came in 2010 when he signed in December the "Giving Pledge", promising to donate at least 50 percent of his wealth to charity over the course of his lifetime.

In May 2012, Facebook had its initial public offering, which raised $16 billion, making it the biggest internet IPO in history. How Zuckerberg's company will handle this influx of cash remains to be seen and Zuckerberg is expected to weather any ups and downs in his company's market performance.

  Model Test 3

As an inveterate traveler, I fly multiple long flights a year. My personal longest was 17hours from Johannesburg to Atlanta, but 10-12-hour flights are my norm. But then there have been times when I was on a less-than-5-hour flight, complaining how it was "such a long flight" with my fellow passengers. It is all relative. However, no matter what your definition is, there are two keys to making any long flight seem short: comfort and distraction. Here are 4 items to help pass the time and miles.

  1. Movies, music, and more

Most of the airlines have in-flight entertainment, but those may not be the movies and TV shows you actually want to watch. Therefore, you are probably better off bringing what you want. It is difficult to download anything on the plane, or at the airport, so this is something best done at home.

  2. Charging cable and battery

Since you'll likely use your phone or tablet for a good chunk of the flight, you're going to need to keep it charged. Long-haul flights usually have an airline's oldest planes, so you can't be sure if there will be a power or charging outlet available at your seat.

  3. Noise-canceling headphones

Noise-canceling headphones reduce steady droning sounds like airplane engines. It doesn't mean there will be a total silence in your ears, but at least it can make the white noise more or less tolerable.

  4. Layers

It is pretty much impossible to maintain a steady or predictable temperature on a flight, with the cold air outside, heat-producing human bodies inside. Different parts of the plane will also have some effect on the temperature. Window seats are likely cooler than aisles, and exit rows cooler than all others. So Layers are the key.
