  Part V Writing

Should One Expect a Reward When Doing a Good Deed?

When it comes to whether or not one should expect a reward after doing a good deed, some peoplebelieve that good deeds deserve acknowledgement. They argue that without certain reward, those whohave done good deeds may feel discouraged to continue their behavior. Thus, they should get rewardsas an acknowledgement.

However, this view is now being questioned by more and more people. They hold the belief thatdoing good deeds is an indispensable part of the human virtues. We all know that Lei Feng was alwaysready to help others without ever asking for any reward. We should learn from him,and bring home topeople the value of doing good deeds.

As for me,I believe that we should spare no effort to do good deeds without asking for anything inreturn. If we all pitch in for the same end unselfishly, the world will be full of love and appreciation.
